Living in Mapo: A Housing Guide for Expats

Key Rental Locations

26/01/07

Mapo-gu stretches along the north bank of the Han River from Gongdeok to Sangam and has become one of the most liveable districts for expats in Seoul. Excellent transport, riverside parks and a lively café culture make it a practical place to rent in Seoul for professionals and families alike.

Why Expats Choose Mapo

Mapo sits between the downtown business district and Yeouido, so commutes to both are short. Gongdeok is one of the city’s best-connected transfer points, and the Sangam Digital Media City area in the west of the district hosts broadcasters, tech firms and international schools.
